October 2022 The opening of the Botetar After School Club
The UK Trustees were delighted to visit the opening of the Botetar Learning Centre and join with the families of the village to celebrate in the Centre with speeches followed by singing and dancing. The Centre was funded by our amazing donors.

October 2022 - The opening of the Sankhu Teacher Training Centre
The UK Trustees working with the team in Nepal are delighted to open the Sankhu Learning Centre to support teachers in local schools with training and professional development. Trustees visit October 2022, L-R Nick Howe, Mike Smith, Debra Boer
Our Teacher Training Centre in Sankhu provides support to several schools in the District.
This bespoke learning centre provides a great environment for teachers to meet and develop under the instruction of the EYE Nepal team led by Raju Bishowkarma.
An EYE Nepal Early Years Education classroom ready for action!
In each school we support, we work with our donors to raise funds to implement a classroom just like this to support the youngest children entering school for the first time.

This is where it all began, when EYE Nepal Trustees, Mike Smith and Debra Boer first visited Nepal in 2014. Here we are reunited with the teaching team and the class of 2022.
BEFORE: Khahare Learning Centre in October 2022
In October 2022 the Trustees of EYE Nepal were approached by the people of the remote village of Khahare with a request to convert this deserted building into vibrant after school centre for the children of the village.
AFTER: Khahare Learning Centre April 2023
In 2023 the team at Island Youth Projects partnered with EYE Nepal to actively be involved to create an after-school learning centre in a village close to Bandipur. In addition to fund raising, volunteers from IYP travelled to Nepal to assist in the development project. The learning centre, which was completed in April 2023, is open after school and during holiday times to support the children in the remote village of Khahare. The centre will also provide additional community based educational support for local children and their families.
